Culture Mix: a definition
Culture Mix refers to how identities and styles affect manager's and employee's attitudes, behavior, style and colleague profile, and the quality of group communications. I distinguish between cultural-mix and organizational culture by considered these concepts from a systemic perspective:
(a) Community Culture - at the meta system level
(b) Organizational Culture - at the system level and
(c) cultural mix - at a sub-system level.
An effective cultural mix depends on the overall profile of the management team, their awareness of employee's double existence, and how the human cultural capital is managed. Cultural-Mix emphasizes how employees and managers within a department works socio-psychologically together. (See W. Bion's book on Experiences in groups: Fight/Flight group. Pairing Group and Dependency Group).
